CZI Grant Proposal 
CZI Housing Affordability Program has extended an invitation for the CEDP Housing Workgroup to apply for a $150k grant. Chan Zuckerberg Initiative will inform us of the final approval in mid-September.

Finish Line Youth Foundation

Deadline: Oct 10, 2022

Finish Line Youth Foundation  

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to benefit diverse communities and reduce racial discrimination and disparities. Eligible applicants serve communities with populations that are predominantly people of color. Priority will be given to applicants that are operating near JD, Finish Line, and/or Finish Line at Macy’s stores.

Eligible project types:

  • Programming or activities for participation in programs that place importance on personal development, an active and healthy lifestyle, or education
  • Improvements and/or renovations to existing buildings, grounds, and property or for new facilities and/or grounds
  • Emergency needs that would somehow be keeping the organization from providing current services such as natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances that require special funding to help
  • Scholarships that provide full or partial funding to participate in programs provided by the organization

Children’s Health & Wellness
ALDI

Deadline: Oct 20, 2022

ALDI Cares Community Grants  

Grants of up to $5,000 and in-kind donations to USA nonprofit organizations, schools, and faith-based organizations in eligible locations to benefit children. Areas of focus include food insecurity, health and wellness, and DEI programming. Support ranges from monetary donations to ALDI gift cards. Eligible applicants are local organizations in ALDI communities where ALDI has stores, warehouses, offices, and conducts business.

Applicants may request either cash or ALDI gift cards. ALDI approves requests for gift cards or donations ranging in value from $100 to $5,000.

Youth Health and Development 
The Youth Foundation

Youth Foundation 

As part of Finish Line’s Louder Than Words platform and continued goal to support diverse and underserved communities, the Finish Line Youth Foundation is launching a nationwide grant cycle. These grants will be awarded throughout 2022 to nonprofit organizations that make a difference in communities around the country.

Eligible project types:

 

  • Programming or activities for participation in programs that place importance on personal development, an active and healthy lifestyle, or education

Educational Gardens
Lorrie Otto Seeds

Deadline: Oct 15, 2022

Seeds for Education

Grants of up to $500 to USA public and private schools, nonprofit youth organizations, and community centers for educational native plant gardens. The purpose of funding is to provide youth with hands-on learning opportunities to plan, plant, and care for native plant gardens.

Examples include:

  • Pollinator gardens,
  • Rain gardens to improve water quality,
  • Tallgrass prairies,
  • Native plant monarch waystations featuring citizen science activities
  • Sensory and natural playgrounds.
