Through the Healthy Refrigeration Grant Program (HRGP), CDFA funds energy efficient refrigeration units in corner stores, small businesses, and food donation programs in low-income or low-access areas throughout the state to stock California-grown fresh produce, nuts, dairy, meat, eggs, minimally processed, and culturally appropriate foods. GRANT DETAILS HERE Strengthen Rural Cooperatives and Expand Economic Opportunities U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Deadline: June 6, 2022 The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small today announced that the department is accepting applications for grants to help start, expand or improve rural cooperatives and other mutually-owned businesses.  Please note:  Nonprofit organizations and institutions of higher education are eligible to apply for grants to provide technical and cooperative development assistance to individuals and rural businesses.
